Our highly skilled welders are trained and certified in a variety of techniques to ensure speed, uniformity and penetration of welds, and our quality inspection process guarantees you receive the precision welding you'd expect from an ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100D:2016 registered manufacturing facility.

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) is a professional engineering society. It is one of the oldest standards-developing organizations in the world, producing approximately 600 codes and standards.

The largest ASME standard is the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC). The BPVC standard provides rules for the design, fabrication, and inspection of boilers and pressure vessels.

Smyth County Machine is certified to design and fabricate vessels in accordance with the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel code. We possess both the ASME “U" and “R” stamps which grants certification to design and fabricate not only new vessels, but also allows for the modification of existing vessels.
